We can carry out either a full inventory survey, detailing the physical dimensions and assessments of health and stability for all trees on the site, or work on a negative reporting basis whereby all trees are assessed in full, but only those requiring remedial tree surgery or removal will be recorded.
We can also work with you to identify areas of high, medium and low risk within the site boundary by assessing likely occupancy rates to develop an overarching tree risk assessment strategy.
In addition, our advanced tree risk assessment package may necessitate the use of specialist decay detection equipment to confirm or refute the presence of internal defects.
We can carry out invasive methods of assessment using a Resistograph™, which measures the resistance of the affected wood against the speed of the needle to produce a technical graph output.
Alternatively, or collaboratively, we can carry out non-invasive assessments using sonic tomography, which measures the speed of soundwaves across a set height of the tree’s trunk, and produces a 2D diagram of the internal wood composition.
A risk factor is produced and our software can aid in specifying appropriate levels of pruning if necessary.
